New Rail uses measured lateral error both to correct the current run and to improve the virtual rail for subsequent runs.
The AI unit generates a smooth correction path, anticipates control delays and stores the corrected virtual rail for reuse.
When lateral correction is needed, the AI unit generates an S-shaped correction virtual rail rather than commanding an abrupt steering movement.
First correction section: The wheel-pair center gradually approaches the actual track center.
Second correction section: Reverse curvature brings the running direction back into alignment with the track centerline as the remaining lateral error is reduced.
The AI unit updates the left and right wheel-speed targets along this path. The correction is spread over a defined distance or time to reduce shock, vibration and overshoot.
The aim is not an abrupt sideways correction, but smooth convergence toward the track center.
Measurement, AI calculation, inverter operation and motor response all take time. By the time a correction takes effect, the vehicle has already moved forward.
The AI unit uses lateral-error history, vehicle speed and drive-response characteristics to predict the error after this delay. It then adjusts the virtual rail and wheel-speed targets in advance.
Control therefore considers the expected error when the correction takes effect—not only the error measured earlier.
The AI unit learns from lateral error, wheel revolutions, running distance, position and operating conditions. Repeated error patterns help refine the virtual rail, while temporary disturbances can be distinguished from persistent track-related differences.
The corrected virtual rail is stored and retrieved when the vehicle next travels through the same section. It provides the reference for new wheel-speed targets, while fresh measurements support further correction.
Current run: Correct the wheel path.
Next run: Retrieve and reuse the improved virtual rail.
The running experience is therefore retained as an improved digital reference rather than ending with a one-time correction.

New Rail
